Chef de Cuisine

Chef Chris Mora brings more than ten years of award-winning culinary experience to the Hunt Room kitchen. A graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia, Chef Mora is a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran who grew up in a globetrekking military family. Today, he delights guests with a uniquely global perspective on cuisine informed by the various styles and distinctive flavors he’s encountered along the way. At the Hunt Room, Chef Mora is dedicated to returning the historic hunting tavern’s menu to its game-friendly roots, while celebrating the region’s rich agricultural bounty and his passion for farm-to-table cuisine and sustainability. Before joining the Hunt Room, Chef Mora served as Executive Sous Chef and Banquet Chef at “Tin Cup Kitchen + Oyster Bar” at the Delta by Marriott Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites. His culinary career has also included stops at The Farmer’s Daughter, Blue Bell, PA; Indian Valley Country Club, Telford, PA; Becca at the Historic Cavalier Hotel, Virginia Beach, and the Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club, Virginia Beach.
